Snoqualmie Falls - Full

Taken yesterday at the base of Snoqualmie Falls. Swollen by recent rains, the flow was more thundering than usual. A bit of rarely seen sun showed itself, delighting a few of us viewers with a rainbow.

I was the only one down in this area of the shoreline willing to put up with blowing mist. Brought enough lens-rags to do the wipe-n-shoot routine. I cloned out a bare needled fir that was silouette’d against the mist. It was too distracting for my tastes.

The chosen shutter speed emphasizes the power of the falls and the rainbow adds a nice touch of color.

The power and conditions you describe comes across very well with this capture. Nice!

Great that you captured that mistbow Ken! The way things are going, it's only going to thunder even more!

Really like the mist and rainbow Ken and a very nicely put together scene. Great job on this.
