The Golden Granary

This beautiful structure was built around a 1000 years ago by the Ancient Puebloans of North America. This would have been used to store grain, many hundreds of these granaries can be found particularly throughout the American Southwest. This particular one is deep in Canyonlands National Park, it takes quite a long drive to get here but it's a worthwhile trip especially when you want to escape the desert heat.

Hi Andrew - I like this a lot. If it were mine I would bring up the brightness or exposure a bit. Love the textures and lines.

That said, due to the obvious hand of man I will be moving this to the M&N Gallery. Hope you understand.

Good shot! Lots of leading lines to the subject. It could be brightened a tad. :toast:

Bull's eye, I love this and the monochromatic color appearance, I wish you had included the larger version, so to view the image on the gray background, it would pop more that way. :toast: :toast:

I sorta like this the way it is, Andrew. The slightly underexposed shot adds a bit of mystery to this granary. Continued nice work from the southwest. :toast:

I like the dark tones as it lends an air of mystery to this fascinating photo. It helps to get the story here. Wonderful lines and quite a unique image.

Andrew, The light and warm tone here is really nice and there is a wonderful soft glow that works so well. I also like the comp you came up with to show off this interesting place. Nice work!
