Nikon D700 with grip (my first time using it) with Nikon 200-400 w 1.4 tele converter. F8 1/1600 ISO 800

Nice evening shoot with plenty of birds fishing on the James River in Virginia. Comments and critiques please. Always learning.

Added a little blue to the water but I don't think I overdid it.

A good action shot and sharp where it needs to be. I think this would work well as a pano only showing water in the background.

Nice action and detail. I agree with Jim on cropping to a pano presentation.

Andrew,
First time's a charm with this capture it would appear. Good action and you had yourself positioned well with regards to the sun light that has the Eagle illuminated nicely. I agree with Jim and Rick on a different crop to lose the far shore line which adds nothing to the image but I am not sure about a Pano, IMO the water droplets and Eagles reflection in the water adds a lot and should stay in the image.
Well done . . . :toast:
