One early morning in May on Cascade Creek, Yosemite.

Nikon D-7100
18-140mm DX @ 75mm
f-13 @ 1/20, ISO 1250
Tk's Triple Play-Lights for the water
TK's Luminosity Masks for the boulders
Neat Image for a bit of noise reduction
May 2014

I have visited Cascade Creek in the Spring many, many times over the years and this is lowest flow volume I have seen for that time of year. Even so, it is always nice, and I try to take advantage of the conditions I'm given.

Please see the large version. Thanks.

Your comments or critiques are always appreciated.

Great compositional complexity, high energy, rich textures and tones in pleasing color. I think this is my favorite of your images that I've seen so far Preston.

Like most of the water flows in CA. this year there is not much to the amount at all, Preston. The processing is well down here and I have no suggestions at all in that arena.
Not near as dramatic or dynamic as your last waterfall, but a really nice small intimate one on this take.

This is wonderful, Preston. Fine movement in the water (as well as eye movement following the water) and great textures in the stones.

Very nice detail in the water and tones and textures in the rocks Preston. I prefer the other more dynamic scene but this is very nice also. Great job.

Preston, very nice, really like the fine detail and coloring of the boulders, and your exposure of the water works beautifully. Excellent work.

This one feels as tho' the rocks are tumbling even as we view the image. Details on rocks are fantastic, Preston.
