Congratulations on joining the Pelican crowd, Allen.

Where was your Pelican captured?

Best,
Carol

Geez, folks...do I need to rename the WC? The details in this view are terrific, Allen, and the uniform blue sky background really lets the Pelican stand out. Well done. Oh, yeah with all that red (blood???) on it's face, I'm wondering if any animals got hurt in the making of this picture.

Not sure about red. He was sitting for quite some time on a small building (can't recall what exactly) on the dock at Bandon, Oregon. He was quite unperturbed with all the people walking around and taking his picture.

Handsome pelican portrait. Excellent detail and good use of the blue sky for the BG, Allen.

Wonderful pelican portrait Allen, you've framed it well. Looks like it just had a meal of something. Nice of him to oblige all the people that were there!

Allen this is well done,
The framing, the sky BG and the detail, as mentioned, are all outstanding. The red things to me look like chunks of meat (most likely fish) and since this guy was "Quite Unperturbed" by all the activity around him, I would venture to say, he had a full belly.
Well seen and presented . . . :toast:
