Kite in red flowers

1D Mark II, Canon 300 2.8,x2, Canon 550 EX at manual mode - no compensation, BB, HH, 1/800, f-6.3, iso 320

This is from my second visit to where these Kites live. Yesterday was very cloudy and I was standing close to them for a couple of hours but saw no point in taking any photos as it was so dark. Just when I was about to give up the sun appeared for two or three minutes and one of the Kites flew to a nearby tree with these beautiful red flowers - I couldn't believe my eyes when it stood exactly where the flowers were....(-;

Ofer
These birds are not easy to get close to, this is well done. The red sets it off as well.

Man, this image is sharp that hurts my eyes. You nailed exposure.

Very nice shot.

What a photo! Great work. It is hard enough to catch this bird in a good pose but with the flowers as well ---> :toast:

Nothing left to be said. Wonderful image, with razor sharpness. You have outdone yourself Ofer, this is one of the best posts that I have ever seen on this site.
