Interesting photo. Nice catch of the rabbit in action. I have not seen one with that kind of coat. Any idea if this is specific to the area? Thanks for sharing.

I'm no expert, but I'm thinking that's the summer-coat snowshoe. I hadn't seen such a brown before.

Hi Ronald,

That coat colour is definitely a new one on me (I'm used to seeing much less uniform brown on them, particularly lighter underparts).

I like how the rabbit seems about to launch itself. And, those ragged-edged ears drew my eye as well. I do think the depth-of-field here is a little on the thin side, with the most noticeable aspect of that (to me) being that the hind feet are pretty soft (focus-wise). I have no idea of the shooting situation (other than it was through a window), but I think if there was any way to get a lower angle on this one (shooting from closer to ground level) it would have strengthened the shot.

Cheers...and thanks for sharing this one!

Brad

Cute little guy...gives me the sense that it is a juvenile. Correct? I think the action pose is interesting. My monitor shows the colors as quite vibrant and if you dialed that back a little I feel it would be improved.
