Pin sharp front to back Ronald, great detail and contrast and a lovely sky to round it off.

Ronald,
I find that this looks a little "weird" for me because the foreground slopes down. Nevertheless a very different shot, with remarkable details and colour :toast: :toast:

I like this a lot, the sloping perspective in the FG creates interest for me and gives it a lot of depth.
Nice work....

LOL. Side by side my image of Oregon Alvord, I thought this might be the same place! Cool shot! :toast:

Mr. Metternich - Yes, I enjoyed your photo and thought, "Hey, if HE can post a photo with minimal foreground AND midground, maybe I can get away with it too." Thank you for the inspiration.

Ronald, This looks great! I'm really enjoying this view and love the wonderful detail and patterns. The distant mountains and sky look great as well and such wonderful color. Beautiful work!

Beautiful image and comp, Ronald. Also interesting to see an image of this iconic place without the rocks. Details of the FG are really special.

Very nice, Ronald. Great detail and color. I like the variation in tone in the playa. The sky looks wonderful.

I wondered too for the thumbnail whether this was Alvord. The endless feel of the patterns stretching out into the distance is well captured.

Love the patterns in the playa and the overall composition. I also like the complementary warm and cool colors between the sky and the ground. Superb image for my tastes.

WOW. I love the contrast in the foreground. The oranges and blues work really well together too. Maybe add a bit more contrast in the distant foreground to maintain the look of cracking mud into infinity? Just a thought

Fantastic textures in the foreground. Like tissues through a microscope. The mountains are well placed too. :toast:
