Smoky Mountains Cabin

This is a cabin built by Colonel Hamp Tipton shortly after civil war. It is in Cade's Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It has held up well for being almost 150 years old, but I am sure the National Park Service makes repairs as needed.

Looks like a neat place, Jerry. You've got some great details in the cabin and that huge black walnut next to it adds well to the story about aging.

Looks like I stood in your shoes, Jerry. I took this the first week in October. I added the smoke.

Phil,

Interesting. In your image it looks like the leaves are beginning to turn.
