Misty Pines, Yosemite

Here's another from the misty morning in Leidig Meadow in Yosemite Valley.

I liked the fact that the mist was quite transparent, allowing more details to be seen in the meadow grass and the pines.

Beautiful image and a mood that appeals a lot to me Preston. I'm particularly impressed with the processing to keep the mist looking so realistic while still bringing out the details in grasses. I'd love this on my wall.

I agree, the subtle mist has just the right amount of transparency - it is mist, yet you can see a lot of detail. And I think that the subtle tone gradation going up works very well. Beautiful.

I sure am enjoying the subtle views of your "misty meadow" series, Preston. The gentle mist makes a fine transition between the gentle warmth of the meadow and the cooler greens of the forest.
