Alert Roadrunner

Another Roadrunner capture. I am posting this particular one as it shows the orange and blue skin patch very well. I have come to realize that the Roadrunner can display this skin patch at will. Most of the time it is only partially visible. Then at other times, not sure for what reason, the patch will be totally revealed. Interesting behavior.

Processed using Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CC 2014. Comments and critiques welcome.

Just about perfect, Jerry. The shallow DOF is spot on, keeping the interest on the bird and enough grass to stand on. An elongated subject like this makes for an unusual crop. In fact, a bit more canvas in front of the bird would add a step or two to this, I think.

I have enjoyed your Roadrunner series Jerry and this one is right up there with the best. I love the color palette you've captured in all of them.
