The last of March 3rd that I think I'll post for awhile.  I liked the wet look in this shot.  The tree partially behind the bird was a bit of a nuisance, but at the time I couldn't move right to get it out of the way.

7Dii, 500mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, Jobu Gimbal on RRS legs, f/5.6, 1/125, iso 1250, aperture priority, center weighted average metering, no compensation.  Processed in LR5 abnd CS6.  Cropped from a horizontal original, almost full height.  Taken at Salineño at 8:38 am under cloudy skies.

Thanks for your comments and critiques.

Excellent detail in the blacks and yellows here Dennis.  The tree behind doesn't bother me but I'm not thrilled about the perch he chose.  I agree the wet look is a nice plus. devil

Agree with Nate, the tree is no dealbreaker. The bird is awesome and the dime light makes the colors stand out well ! devil, Cheers, Hans
