Last August, the Cleveland National Forest, in a burned area after a quick moving storm. The charred trunks seem to dance and the clean stones come alive after the rain. Usually the slopes are thick with impassable chaparral and the granite stays hidden for years until the next fire cycle. Comments and critique welcome. Thanks for looking.

Hi Stephen,
I like the hunting fell of this capture, and the image has a stark yet beautiful nature. I like Roel's idea of a bit less rock, and a bit more trees. I might crop to just above the ledge of the first foreground rock.
I really nice viw you of this area you have captured here
Thank you Roel and Ryan for your comments and recommendations on the foerground rock. It does appear too dominant. I am reposting with the crop and also so I can see if I can get a larger image to show up.
Is it chaotic? Maybe, but IMHO the image is fascinating and well done, also by a composition-volumes point of view.
Weight-rocks, then the branches to subtract weight, then air/clouds. Good sharpness, adequate colour management, very good.
All the best,
Sandro
