Yet another from Bentsen Rio Grande State Park.  One of my favorite birds of that area.

7Dii, 500mmm f4 ISL, Jobu Gimbal on RRS legs, f/5.6, 1/320, iso 1250, aperture priority, center weighted average metering, no compensation.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Cropped to 14.5 MP.  Sharpening and vibrance adjustments to bird.  One obtursively oof branch cloned.  Taken at 9:07 am on March 1st under cloudy skies.

I appreciate all your comments and criticisms.

Thanks,

Very nice and sharp Dennis and I like the diagonal perch. The bird is well isolated from the included habitat. The soft light worked pretty good for you here too. Sweet scene!  devil

A very pretty bird and a superb capture of it, Dennis!  The exposure is perfect with no blown highlights yet excellent detail on the black mask and beak.  Black eyes with a black background is extremely difficult but the eye is obvious in this shot.  The processing is excellent and not overdone.  Excellent! devil

You certainly hace some beautiful birds in your portfolio Dennis and this another. Lovely detail throughout the bird and I like the oof background although I find the dark tree trunks a bit overpowering. Graham
