Here an example of a Lily of the Valley (Convallaria majalis) again with the Meyyer Görlitz Orestor. Wide open i was able to pull both the typically large LOTV leaf and the background foliage into a soft array of colours, isolating the lone flower stalk as i desired.

An image of deep serenity, Mark - I love the treatment of the background with its rich colours and texture.

Your usual beautiful stile, with an emotional background. The green color cast is intended I suppose. Beautiful.

Hi Gigi, thanks - and the cast: definitely THe light on the forest floor was anything but neutral and although it would have been a very simple matter to neutralize the white of the flower heads it just doesn't look 'right' ...

I sort of wish that FG leaf was just a little bit softer, but I really like what it is to the shot. I love the BG and the sharpness of the subject.

Thanks for the positive comments,
@Nathan, I know what you mean but that, unfortunately, would have meant being that little bit closer (the lens was already wide open) and then the size of the flower stalk wouldn't have been 'right' size and there would have been less DOF on the flower ...
