Fleeting Gold
by D.A. Edwards
We were driving north last month on Andoya Island, well above the Arctic Circle, when the sun came out after a rainy/blustery/overcast and generally difficult to photograph week in the Lofotens. That weather had dropped the first snows of the winter on the higher elevations while we enjoyed the last bits of autumn which would be gone in a few days. Summer becomes fall which seems to immediately beget winter at that latitude as the daylight decreases by about an hour a week.
I liked the barer FG trees with the tree on the left still holding onto its gold and the yellow meadow with the ominous clouds above.
