Norrkoping I

From my recent trip to Scandinavia, we spent a couple of nights in this city a couple of hours southeast of Stockholm. It is a photographic delight for city lovers due to the river that flows through it, held back by a series of weirs for industrial purposes over the last 100+ years, creating lakes that provide for nice reflections of the rehabilitated historical buildings that line the river. The city has done a great job of pedestrian-izing the experience and there are restaurants and museums galore. I'd love to get back there sometime when the sky was better but c'est la vie.

PS: There should be two little dots over the second "o" in Norrkoping.

Öh my, Ö is made in Windows by holding down the ALT key and typing 0214 for caps and 0246 for lower case. I like the buildings. I especially like the the ripples and foam paths leading to the weir. Well composed!

I like the combo of shapes and colors, with a quite colorful reflection too. This one is fun to study in detail.
