Another from the Alvord Desert in SE Oregon, pre-sunrise. This is a fairly iconic image as there are plenty of these leading eye dry washes that head west across the desert towards Steens Mountain.

Cool shapes and I like how I'm lead back throught the scene by the dry wash. It is always interesting to see this dried cracked mud and all the texture it has. Looks like you could peel it off in layers.

Nice, Dave. I like the curves and the mud cracks add a lot of neat pattern and texture.

Dave, you've got some outstanding textures here and a fine leading wiggle heading for that ridge in the distance. The details in the bottom of this wash are terrific.

This may be iconic but its the firs one I've seen with a shallow curvy wash. This has a little more to it than the typical cracked mud/mountain image. The color, texture, and form are quite nice. Only nit are the branches on the far right.

I like this photo, it has an appeal, the curve in the road, the cracks in the dried earth and lead in toward the mountains, great shot, the picture tells the story
