Sac Valley Sundown

Took this last evening at the Sacramento NWR.  Was mostly shooting birds, but lots of sundown/sunset images also available.
D800e, Tokina 16-28 @ 28, 1/80, F 20, ISO 800.  Camera rested on window of vehicle.  I really liked the quality of light in this one, and also liked the double sunstar.  Would really appreciate any honest comments and criticism on this one. Thanks.

This is very peaceful--a fitting end to a nice CA day. I love the light and the naked trees, and the sky has nice color and detail.

Beautiful scene, Jim.  Love the light and reflection of the sun star.  You handled the difficult light very nicely.  Looks like a really nice evening indeed.

Good scene, well composed, beautiful light. I really like the sky, would be attractive  to have more in the photo. But the picture is already so attractive!

Jim,
I imagine you are very pleased with this photo.  It reminds me of one of the ponds at Bosque.  There is a lot to like in this photo, the wonderful golden color, the denuded branches of the trees, the sun peeking through and the dappled clouds.  It is a restful photo that at the same time caused me to travel through it lest I miss something.  cool

Jim,

Darn it, I've got nothing to suggest here - no crop, adjustments, etc.  This is quite beautiful!  I love the warmth, the dual-sunstar is wonderful as is the clouds, the tree, the reflection.... wonderful!  I like that you included enough of the foreground cattails/thistle? that frames the pond.

well done!

Really nice composition. The stark trees grab my attention, then lots to wander to from there.

I am really enjoying the light in this scene; especially that on the FG grasses. I allso love that double sunstar along with those clouds. This is a quiet relaxing scene to end the day. Great work, Jim.
