What Was That?

This is Sable, my wife's Siamese that bonded with me, just as my animal shelter tabby bonded with her (go figure).  The engineer's tape is our version of the reflective orange vest, but only in the yard.  When we take her camping she has something called a "Kitty Holster" and she stays on a leash (which get's lots of second looks).  Oddly, she's the venturesome one of the pair and the huntress, often coming back with voles and once a young rabbit.  Since she is always under supervision when she's out, we're able to keep her away from birds, though she does require periodic reminders.

7D2, Sigma 150-600mm C @ 403mm, hand held, f/6.3, 1/1600, iso 1000, aperture priority, pattern metering.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Slight crop from the left and bottom.  Taken October 23rd at 11:55 am under cloudy skies.

I think I need to take Brad's advice and use her to practice on-she certainly can do the unexpected. angel

Comments are appreciated and thanks for looking,

Dennis,

that is a very nice cat and he pose is looking pretty proud or self-confident and that fits to yout narration of being the huntress. I like the stare towards the viewer and the background as well very much. The engineer's tape is a bit unfortunate in my opinion for the photo.

HI Dennis,

A beautiful animal. I quite like the overall colour palette here and you certainly caught a nice mid-stride pose. Nicely done.

Looks like you're enjoying the Sigma Contemporary 150-600. Such incredible value (and a good lens!).

Cheers...

Brad
