Surveyor's Meadow
by Chris Chamberlain
So this image, this moment marked a day of renewal for me. I had not been out alone, with my camera for about 10 months. The previous year, I was here in horrible winds, bluebird skies, and not much color. I tried to make the best of it. But in the end, I went into Bishop and got a room. Slept in the next morning and got up, packed up, and headed for home. I never even tripped the shutter on the camera one time. So, standing here again before this scene, I felt a sense of peace, relaxation, and gratitude come over me. A feeling that draws me to continue to pursue images, and experience what rewards nature has to offer.
Thanks
Chris

Your persistence has paid off as this is superb image. Very well composed and sublime color palatte. You managed the dynamic range beautifully. Great work!

Gorgeous Eastern Sierra autumn landscape. Kudos for you on the persistence. A scene well worth the wait and you were rewarded.
Nothing to be critical of here Chris. The comp, the splatter of color, the boulder, peak all work in concert and the sky and clouds are wonderful. I don't think this would be the same with just a bluebird sky.
Make me want to be there.

This image really brings me into the scene, and gives me the feeling of being present with you while you captured this image. There are lots of beautiful elements that mingle together to create an essential Autumn image full of life and beauty.
Wonderful work!!
