A more conventional comp. of the image I posted from this location previously. I selected a mid-range focal length to keep the Sierra a bit more prominent in the frame. Appreciate any comments/suggestions. Thanks.

Beautiful pastels Dave and a grand mix of cool and warm colors.

Another one with sweet warm colors. I don't think the comp is working for me as well. I am finding the reeds front right somewhat stop my visual flow through the image.

Beautiful colors and light in a beautiful place. I agree about the lrc. I might crop up half way or more of the grass on the lrc so that it is not so prominent.

Thanks for the insightful comments. Here's a crop to de-emphasize the reeds in the LRHC.

It's a lovely, quiet scene, Dave.  The pink sky and reflection add very well to the warmth of the reeds.  I too am finding the reeds in lrc grabbing too much attention.  If only you could walk on water and have moved 4 or 5 steps left....  Your crop improves the balance nicely.

I prefer the second crop.  Very nice color here.  Well composed.

This is another beauty, Dave. Those pastels in the sky along with the reflection in the water are just gorgeous. I think your crop makes the clump of reeds a little less prominent and places more of an emphasis on the snow capped peaks. Either way this is nicely done.

Gorgeous Dave!  I love the color here, especially with the pinks of the earth's shadow.  I think the Sierra are showcased beautifully here and I think much better than the earlier vertical version.  the foreground clump of grass is much less obstrusive, and now serves as a solid anchor.

I think you could even get away with some bottom cropping to emphasize the panoramic nature of the mountain range.  just a thought.

Such nice colors, again! This time not as "in your face" as your previous post, but equally nice nevertheless. The grasses to the right are a bit too prominent for my taste unfortunately. I would have preferred them to be a bit smaller, although the repo is and improvement for sure. I think they would have worked best for me if they would not have "touched" the grasses on the other side of the river.

You've got a fine series going from the Owens River, Dave. The composition works well for me, and I like the blue Earth shadow. The mountains look great, and I like all the detail.

It sure is nice to see all that snow on the Sierra!

Well done! Maybe try lowing the exposure a tab bit to add some richness, but composed quite well.
