Thank you for commenting on the previous version of this image, Phil, Bill, Ian, and Jim. So, what do you think about this cropped version? I tried Phil's suggested on the original, but I could not crop the oof leaves on the right because without partially cutting off the main in focus leaf on the right. So, I went with a more radical crop all around, turning this into a close up vertical. Same techs as previous version, just cropped. crying

This is another beautifully taken photo, Scott.  I guess I prefer the previous one, only because the little flower doesn't grab me as much as many flowers do, and I like to see it smaller in the frame with its surrounding leaves.  A case of the aesthetic appeal of the subject affecting one's response to the image, simple as that.

I understand about the leaf. I guess I'm with Ian then. I prefer the first.

Hi Scott,

Big crops usually lose some crispness and this one appears softer than the original version due to loss of pixels.  I'd like this one better if it were sharper and have more Dof with a little more space all around.  I also prefer your first version. ......................Jim

Scott: I think I do prefer this tighter crop. The softness doesn't bug me that much.  Good alternate view. >=))>
