Spotted Sandpiper

I spent a lot of time at the pond where the sandpipers were spending the summer and had hoped to get a shot of the newly hatched young but no luck.  Did not even see them until I spotted this young who soon hustled away. I was able to only get a fleeting shot but it (in my opinion !!) turned out quite nicely.  It still has a few downy feathers.

I hope you enjoy this shot, thanks for looking and critiques appreciated.

A real cutie, May.  It definitely had that fledgling look to it.  You got a great angle with good exposure.  I'm a bit surprised that the far leg is blurred with what looks like motion.  It must have really been moving.

Tough to catch them when they are tiny, as they hide so well.
Nice BG, sweet pose, and a real cutie.
Fine work!

Great look at this youngster, May. Looks like it was in a big hurry. I really like the outstretched neck.

Neat pose here May, good light and low perspective brings one right into the birds world. Your time and efforts were well rewarded.

Very nice. I like the angle and the shadow. Good behavioral image. Perhaps I'll get to see this bird on its way back south.
