Madison River Bull

My favorite place for Yellowstone elk is along the Madison River.  In the background, you can see the downed trees from the 1988 fires. Processed using Lightroom CC (2015.7) and Photoshop CC (2015.5) along with Light Craft's LightZone. Comments and critiques welcome.

Nice elk image - but too bad he isn't bugling, or doing some activity - this would make it a more behaviorally-interesting image.

It's a great portrait of a proud and striking critter, Jerry.  I especially like how well his colors match with the surroundings.  The Madison is a great spot for the elk.  Your two Bighorn rams finally left Tower Junction Wed. night.

Nice exposure, Jerry.  I like the unusual forked sword tines!  Depth of field is excellent, keeping antlers and body of bull in the zone.

Jerry,
Great image, great detail, I might consider trying to reduce the impact of the larger branchescool
