Misty Mountains

This photo was taken in Ladakh, which is a region in northernmost India. It is a high, sparsely populated, mountainous area. While the mountains here don't reach the heights of Everest or K2, they are impressive nonetheless. In this photo, you can see the very small village of Rangdum at the base of the mountains, which serves to give some scale. Taken on an overcast day while storms swirled around the peaks. E-M1 and 40-150 lens at f/11, 1/160 and ISO 1000. Richard

My guess was for Tibet.  Love to see some more photos of this interesting area!  Thanks for sharing:   Tom

Amazing landscape; I hope to see it someday!  Very dramatic clouds on the mountains.  Personally I might trade some of the rocky ground at the bottom for a little more headroom over the mountains.

Richard, This small village looks very remote and what an awesome setting it is. Love the mountain and cloud combination here. I like this comp with the sweeping lines.  Very nice.

Very nice and dramatic mountain-scape, Richard!  The little village really helps scale the size of the mountains.  Nicely composed also.
