Dennis: Welcome to NPN in general and to the finest Flora gallery on the planet in particular. Terrific first post. Love the color palette and the overall comp. In the future please do consider posting a larger version which makes critique easier. Great to have you aboard and looking forward to more.>=))>

Thank you. How do I post larger versions of my photos?
Dennis: When you pull up the post a photo page you'll notice the posting guidelines. You may post an image up to 1MB with a maximum of 1600 pixels on the longest side. I work my images from the RAW capture to this size or a little smaller if I need to preserve detail. That is the image to place in the first Upload Photobox. I personally prefer to then resize the image to 720 pixels on the long side and 500KB to place in the second Upload Photo box. You don't have to do this step as the site software will automatically downsize your large image to serve as the primary gallery image but I prefer to control that process myself. You must do this at the initial posting though as there is no way to add a larger image later. Hope this helps and if you have any more questions please feel free to e-mail me. . . .Bill

Welcome Dennis! Good looking Hydrangea. I like how you have framed it and the DOF. Colors look bang on. I will agree with Bill on the large image. We all go through these photos pretty rigorously and the larger size helps. Also not necessarily required but helpful are at least the techs of exposure, aperture, shutter speed and ISO.
