Imaginary Winter
by Mattia Oliviero
Thank you for your comments on my last picture.
When I saw this scene, I began to wander with my imagination. I began to see what else this scene might be: I saw an imaginary winter. However, I do not want to influence your imagination and opinion by telling you my version now. I am looking forward to hear your comments and thoughts on this. Thank you for your time as always.

15 commentsThis is fantastic; very creative and artistic. Took me a few looks to figure out what's going on here. At first, and from viewing farther away, I thought this was a tree branch reflecting. Even continuing to look at this, it could still be something more than little tributaries in the ice. The scattered snow flakes look like coconut or white chocolate shavings. Almost like you sprinkled them on the scene for decoration. ;-)
I'm quite fascinated with this one. Love it. Imagination required, indeed.

When I first saw this, I thought it was a tree scene, greatly modified with filters and should have been in the photo art gallery.
Once I realized what it was, I like it even better.
This scene reminds me of three little trees on the hills during a snowfall, as Brian suggested. I had very positive feelings when I realized what else this ice scene could be.

The bits of snow are very 3D, too. Definitely something to make your imagination wander. Cool.
