These Stellar Jays are fairly noisy when they announce their arrival around my feeders.  I can hear them coming from down the block.

Iso 800, Sigma 150-600 at 300 mm, F9, 1600th, full frame, D 500, tripod, fill flash at -2/3, Topaz and TK actions

Thanks for comments on my previous image.

I really, really like this one, David. I think this is one of your best. Great pose, great detail in the Jay, and a great job with the composition. If I ever get out west, this is a species I would love to have in my files. Superb image!!

Everything's working here David. Perch and background are both very complimentary. Detail and the pose from the Jay are outstanding. devil

Excellent as presented. I love tghe pose. The fill flash has done a very nice job of bringing out the facial details that often get lost in this species.

Great details and excellent color.  I also like the alert pose, looks like it is about ready to take off.  Thanks for sharing.

I really like the pose showing the wonderful back and tail pattern and colors.  If this is a feeder setup, consider moving the perch to improve the background?

A sweet pose and perch, David, and you've really started nailing the degree of sharpening-the plumage looks perfect to me.

Excellent, David. Good processing as well. I think I am picking up some artifact on the gray back, near the blue of the primaries. I suspect this is from the Topaz filter.
