This is from a trip to Carrizo Plain with Dave Dillemuth.  It is a heck of year out there.

Love this perspective, while it makes the mnts more diminutive, the larger flowers are pretty spectacular.  What is not to like about this? Nothing!

Harley,

This is also an excellent near/far composition.  I like the proportion you've given to the bg mtn range and sky - it lets the vast field of yellow flowers make a statement.  Very subtle, but there is a visual pathway through the flowers upfront allowing the eye to wander further in to the scene.

No nits or suggestions.  Beautifully captured and processed.

Lovely sea of yellow that leads the viewer to the distant mountains.  I like this a lot Harley.

This is a beauty, Harley. Has some great depth and speaks to the expansiveness of the Carrizo bloom. Not sure if you intended but I see what Lon mentioned - there is a very nice visual pathway through the flowers to the background. Processing looks great only thought would be to experiment with increasing the contrast slightly in the sky to further bring out those wonderful clouds.

Wow, what a beauty.  Great processing to make this fully saturated and not overly so.  Also, I can't detect a yellow color cast in this, which makes it even nicer.  Well done Harley!

Outstanding Mr. H.  Love this one. What an explosion of yellow.  Desert Marigold?  Truly a one off, this bloom. Wow!!!

Harley, I'm a big fan of anything yellow in scenes. Might be the overload I see from too much blue in my own images...sad
......obviously a cause and effect from shooting before sunrise or after sunset.

This is excellent. Glad you were able to get out to this location and enjoy the bloom after our wonderful "high tide" rainfall this year. I'm on my third outing at Jtree with things in bloom out there too. Won't be long though before the heat destroys the outstanding foliage this season has supplied.
