Chicks in a Row

This is the most Common Gallinule chicks I have ever seen that I would imagine belong to the same parents (no doubt thanks to the alligators), and also I have never seen them somewhat in a row like this, almost as though they were ducks, although the next-to-last one is starting to go its own way.  For me it's unique, and that's why I like the image.

In case you wonder, the greens are completely desaturated and the yellows are about halfway to being completely desaturated.  Desaturating the yellows only affected the beaks a tiny, tiny bit, but it helped the greens not be so bright.

Sweetwater Wetlands Park, Gainesville, I think in May.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

Tomorrow I'll post feedback for other posts here.

Reminds me a bit of a very old image from about 1900 of 12 fledgling Chickadees lined up in front of their nest (not something anyone would do these days, but ornithology was conducted differently back then).  An interesting image and you did a great job of subduing the bg.

This has to be seen large to be enjoyed, Barbara.  Then the colors and the actions of the chicks show up nicely.  The reeds look good, even as the chicks dominate the view.

You've done a good job with the desaturation, Barbara - and this is a charming image.  I gather from what you say there might be more yellow in the beaks but you took the yellows down because of the grasses.  I wonder if you could have selected the bills to bring the yellows there up again ?

Ian, thank you.  I have no excuse.  It didn't occur to me.  Here is a repost with the yellow saturation for the affected parts of the chicks brought up by the amount I brought it down for the whole image.
