Jackals fighting over a kill.

This carcass happened to feed a pack of Jackals for three days and at the end of it, they all appeared very healthy and fat.
Canon 7D, 500mm, ISO 250, 1/800 sec. at f 5.
Thank you so much for your kind comments & views!

Wonderful capture with both of these guy's mouths open. The hint of the carcass in the foreground gives a reason for the action. My first impression was that this was a bit oversaturated, for what's it's worth. Excellent capture.

First, a belated thank you for posting scenes, animals and interactions that I will never see otherwise. Second, I don't think this is oversaturated so much as it is expressive of a quality of light particular to that part of the world. A beautiful and graphic image!

Incredible timing, Jagdeep. It's kind of funny too, looks like they could be singing a duet sad

Another spectacular and wonderful image of wild animals engaged in survival behavior in their natural environment. Thank you for sharing these with us.

What an eye grabber, to have two wide open mouth's full  of bared teeth!  Excellent.  I might consider toning down saturation/or warmth on the subjects...because it just made me feel it was slightly over-rich.  Nonetheless, great capture.

Jagdeep: what an excellent capture of the moment. Maybe just a touch saturated. Congrats! Richard

I like both, but I prefer the repost. Great image.

Either that or they're singing a duet...  Those two wide open mouths and the lowered heads are outstanding, Jagdeep.  I thought the original post looked great, but the reduction in the greens of the repost does look more natural and seem to add a bit more "pop".

This is a killer of an image, Jagdeep! The low angle, the fantastic details on the jackals' faces, the open mouths, the catchlight in the eyes, and above all, the inclusion of the bare bones in the foreground - fantastic!
