Another Merganser

I actually shot this one the day before the last posting.  I had some fun with this picture in the weekly challenge but here is the original.  Some people thought the last posting was a little over sharpened so I make sure to watch that on this one.  I really like the water in this image.

Iso-500, 200-500 at 500 mm, F6 .3, 1250th, handheld, D 500, 75% full frame, Adobe camera raw 10, Topaz adjust, TK sharpening action at 35%

I like the water also. I also love the beautiful eye on this Merganser. Nicely done.

Indeed, the water is really nice, and as Jerry has stated, the eye is great. This is a very interesting species David and you have done a nice job capturing it.

Really gorgeous water reflections, David, and an excellent shot of the Merganser.

I like your choice of a pano for this strong image.  Good detail in the hen and some remarkable fall color in the water.  Well done.

I like the water as well; it blends in nicely with the merganser (is it a juvenile hooded?) Good detail and I like how you cropped the shot.
