Looks frosty w the strong blue tones. Only nits are the bottoms of the reflections being cut off. Well seen here :) aF

The cool blue tones have created a lovely tranquil mood in this scene, Allen. The stillness of the evening has created some lovely reflections in the water. Do you have any images where the tops are not clipped off in the reflection. If not you could try using the clone tool to possibly clean them up. Either way I do like this image.

Very nice picture taken during the magical “blue hour” .  It gives the impression of being very cold.  One thing though, do you have some extra on the bottom to include?  Being able to see the top of the tree reflections would work better, I think.

I really like the scene and the concept, but I might back off the blue just a bit? A little Miles Davis, "Kind of Blue".

Allen, this is an appealing take and well titled. Aside from being a prime avian destination, Bosque is a great place for landscapes. I like how you took care to position the vanishing point of the canal between the trees. Those bunches of smaller trees with their bare trunks are particularly nice. Of course more room to include the reflections would have been better, but being restricted to the wide end of that lens, and knowing the restrictions of that location, it may not have been possible without including the roadway. With some careful post-processing it should be pretty easy to add canvas (possibly with content aware crop) then correct by cloning in the reflections.

This is a nice scene, and I love the trees. I too would wish more room at the bottom, but you may have been constrained, so no real biggie. I agree with Harley about dialing back on the blue and cyan. I love the title.

Thanks, all, for the comments.  I do appreciate them and your advice.  I added an inch to the bottom and did a content aware and cloned out excess foliage.  I decreased the cyan in the sky, which helped to bring out some of the color in the leaves, but I left the water the same-I guess it's a matter of personal preference, but I tend to like blue.  By the way, the shot was taken with a white balance of 3900 degrees K.

I'm  blue guy also so the color works well for me. Guy Tal states in his book that blue is the color people prefer more than any other. My favorite part of this image is the preciseness  of all those leaves and branches. The repost dealing with cloning and filling can be a problem for someone who is very discerning. There are leaves in the reworked reflection that have no branches attached to them. Some of the reflected branches aren't shaped like what they're reflecting. I'm noticing this because I know what's been reworked so most would not see it. On the other hand the shapes of these branches is what the image is all about.

This is definitely blue and attractive.  The near silhouettes of the trees and the bit of opening in the water leading into the distance add well to a pleasing image and a fine quiet mood.  The added canvas in the repost improves the symmetry but that's a matter of personal preference.  I'm very picky in the rare instances that I use the clone tool.  Cloning branches into a uniformly colored background is very challenging in terms of matching the branching as you match the color.  At a glance your effort looks very good, then with careful inspection, I see several repeats as well as some branch extensions where the density of the branches don't fit with their contact points.  I think you could print and hang either of these.

Allen,

There's a very tranquil look and feel to this one.  The color is very pleasing, although agree with others a bit strong.  But heck, it's the "blue hour" and you like blue.  I can see wanting to keep it cool, but for me not adjusting the entire image I don't think improved the image.  I think perhaps a little less reduction than you did with the sky, but applied globally.  But like you said, it's a personal choice.

Adding extra canvas did improve the image, although as pointed out the cloning repeats are evident. (Of course you've got nit picky photographers reviewing....not sure the average non-photographer would notice.) ;-)
