Merlin with Dragonfly

Wonderful capture you managed here, Sandy. The dragonfly puts it in a whole other class. There is a slight lack of detail in the larger image. I was wondering if this was a large crop? Regardless, it is a very nice image.

Perfect timing to get such a great pose with the dragonfly.  Nice perch and background as well.  There seems to be a turquoise cast over some of the bird and tree.

Yes, a big crop. Still worthwhile, I hope.

Very good moment of capture Sandy.
Nicely done.

Great timing on this one, Sandy.  I remember your earlier post of this bird and I much prefer this composition.

Excellent image overall. Composition, perch and pose are top-notch. The detail has suffered a bit from the large crop, but not really important to the overall quality. Suggestion—on a large crop like this, I would keep the framing to a minimum. Because of the size requirements, the image quality could use the space.

I like the action here .
Agree on the crop -maybe less is more

Very nice, Sandy.  Couldn't ask for a better pose or setting.

Great pose and nicely composed Sandy. I see the lack of detail as others in the larger version, but as a large crop, it still holds up surprisingly well. Great work!
