Zion Lava and Glow

While hiking down to the Subway, I came through a section of the river that had lava rocks running into the water.

I love the colors of this, I am concerned that what looks like film on the surface of the water detracts. (It isn't film, I think it is the land under the water.)

Great image - the colors are stunning and I dont think the "film" detracts at all.

I know what I'm seeing and it is beautiful. Great color combination. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by the possible detracting effect, but I guess that means it's not a problem.

Neat, intimate landscape from a place where it's easy to get overwhelmed by the grandeur of the grand landscape.

Alan:

This is fantastic! Lovely colors, love the diagonal flow of the composition. I wouldn't change a single thing.

Thanks for sharing!

Very nice, the only distraction I see is in the upper left corner.
The color is superb.

Alan,

This is excellent. That orange is just lovely. It contrasts nicely with the blue cast on the rock.

Wonderful light and color. I like the comp too. The round rock is a great anchor and goes well with the flow of the image. Well-seen.

Great idea and execution. The use of the two colors is very dramatic.

Wonderfully simple, solid, evocative image - great play of the warm colors grounded by the cooler color of the darker rock.
