William, I'm going out on a limb and letting you know this is awesome work. The interplay of light and shadow is handled perfectly. I absolutely love photos of such simple subjects that are turned into "art". Just my .02, but beautiful work.

I totally agree.
The strength of this image lies in it's simplicity, the attractivly lit trunks, and the cool and calm colours.
I also like the fact that the tree trunks are small, medium and large in diameter.
Well seen and well taken.

Will - a truly good study in light and shadows - and the trees are the bonus! The various sizes add to the appeal of the image IMO... well done!! (psst..you must freeze your....ahem...off out there taking these shots! )

Will,

This is just so sweet. Those shadows just strewed across the snow create a very peaceful image. The vertical trunks add character and strength, superb shot.
PS: It's not fair, we don't get any snow down here. But it did snow in N. Louisiana yesterday. OK, I'm jealous now.

Phew !!!, clean, smooth clear lines. I am totally amazed at how you see Will. This is outstanding IMO. The lighting again is just right and casts the right shadows.

All the best M8t, I would love to "see" like this. :toast:

Simplicity does the trick almost every time. And this one is no exception.

Will,

Way to go on Editor's Pick. Well deserving shot, I really liked this one. I can smell sping in the air down in La. A few trees are starting to bud out and the birds are gathering at Lake Martin.
