Shot this this afternoon, been having some monitor problems, so I was kinda wanting to know if the colors and the black bg came out alright?

Got to choose between a new monitor or tripod and head so hopefully I got it calibrated.

Very well done Bernie, I love the portrait look. The colors look really good to me. I would like a bit more DOF as the stem and the forward petals look a touch soft.

You are right on about the softness on the front petals Nathan, I was shooting something else at 2.8 (imagine that) and forgot to close it down for this one :rolleyes: I am just glad the colors are fine, I really want a new tripod, and I am trying to hold off on a new monitor and computer until next year. Thanks for taking a look !

Bernie. other than the issues of shooting at 2.8, this looks great to me. Your colors are spot on according to my freshly calibrated monitor. Nice image.

The colors and BG look great to me also, Bernie. Other than the 2.8 issue everything looks spot on to me. Don't you just hate those tough decisions on what piece of equipment to buy next. :smile:
